Our client a leading company that supplies ships calling at the Freeport an Grand Harbour, requires an additional person to join their Procurement team.  Duties will include:

Processing orders and quotes relating to technical goods and service
Sourcing suppliers and negotiating the best possible terms
Keeping an excellent rapport with both clients and suppliers to ensure a clear understanding of what is required
Placing and following up on orders
Identifying new  opportunities, products and services that will increase the company’s turnover
Ensuring that  stock levels of regularly requested products are in supply from the warehouse
Managing the increase of regular suppliers both locally and overseas
Preparing reports
The ideal person for this position will be smart, self motivated,  highly organised  and an enterprising person, ideally educated to A’ Level standard.  The ability to negotiate and communicate at all levels and work to deadlines is also important as is technical awareness
